These terms govern your use of The Nordic Compendium. Please read them; by continuing to use the site you accept them.

1. Who these terms are with

3. No affiliation

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by or otherwise connected to Restaurant Frantzén, Frantzén Group, Björn Frantzén, Michelin or any other organisation named on this site. Any impression to the contrary is unintended and should be reported to us so we can correct it.

4. Editorial content and reliance

We take reasonable care to be accurate and to say where our information comes from. Even so, operating details of a restaurant — days, hours, format, figures, dietary limits — change without notice and often without announcement.

Content is provided for general information. It is not advice, and you should not treat it as a substitute for confirming anything directly with the restaurant before you act. Any decision you take on the basis of what you read here is your own.

Opinions expressed are those of the writer at the time of writing. Descriptions of what guests typically experience are generalisations drawn from public accounts, not promises about your visit.

5. Our intellectual property

The text, structure, design, code and arrangement of this site are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and related rights.

You may read the site, print or save pages for your own non-commercial use, and quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial parts of the text, use the material commercially, or use it to train a machine learning system, without our written permission.

6. Third-party names and marks

“Frantzén”, “Michelin” and other names and marks appearing on this site belong to their respective owners. They are used here descriptively, to identify and comment on the subject of our editorial coverage. No claim of ownership, endorsement or association is made or implied.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site unlawfully, or for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose;
  • impersonate us, or represent yourself as connected to us or to the restaurant;

  • introduce malicious code, or attack the site in any way, including denial-of-service attacks;
  • scrape the site systematically or place unreasonable load on it;
  • copy material from the site in breach of section 5.

Serious breaches may be reported to law enforcement, and we will co-operate with them.

We link to third-party sites, including the restaurant's own, so that you can verify what we say. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, uptime or practices. A link is not a recommendation of anything beyond the point being verified.

9. Site uptime

We do not promise that the site will always be reachable, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice. We are not liable to you if the site is offline at any time or for any period.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • the site and its content are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose;
  • we exclude liability for any loss of profit, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill or data, and for any indirect or consequential loss;

If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.
